    French press???

    Post  tommy21 on Tue Mar 23, 2010 8:22 pm

Any one tell me what a french press is? Some one in the gym told me I should be doing french press and to not look like a total novice I just nodded my head as if I knew what they meant.

Imagine overhead triceps and bench press combined. Its to exercise triceps.
lying flat on your back, arms straight as if the top of a bench press. Then lower the weight over your head, keeping your elbows still. Like a over head tricep exercise.

Im not mad about this one though. Rather jus do the overheads and push downs, and kick backs and close grip bench presses and and and nad nadnanwdnandnandn....

There is alot of choices...not to say u *should* be doing a specific one, exept if it is bench, deadlift and squats.

Scull crushers there more comenly know as because if you drop the weight you will un doubtingliy 'crush your scull'

An exercise best done with a spotter Tommy espechely if your new to it.

Saying that I love scull cruscher an rate them as the best tricep exercise for building the lower tricep. As for a must? Maybe, But then nothing that could hurt you is a must. I would defently give them a go if you have some one willing to go through the macanics of them and spot you.
